Executive Team

		Mikhail Zakhryapin, Managing Director Before starting Agnitum in 1999 Mikhail, together with Alexei Elagin, developed a basic, easy-to-use personal firewall that subsequently became Agnitum’s first commercial product, Jammer. Today, Mikhail directs the company’s strategic development and has established a team of more than thirty highly qualified individuals. Mikhail Zakhryapin graduated from the Baltic State Technical University of St. Petersburg with a master’s degree in International Industrial Management.
		Alexei Elagin, Technical Director Alexei Elagin launching Agnitum with Mikhail Zakhryapin in 1999. He was responsible for creating the user interface for Jammer, Agnitum’s first commercial product, and quickly followed this first success with the development of Outpost Firewall, the cornerstone of the company’s current product range. His role today is to provide the vision for the product roadmap and to continue to build and maintain one of the most highly qualified development teams in the industry. Alexei Elagin holds a doctorate degree in International Industrial Management from Baltic State Technical University of St. Petersburg.
		Mikhail Penkovsky, Director of Sales and Marketing With extensive experience in online marketing and web-based projects, Mikhail Penkovsky joined Agnitum in 2000 as PR and Marketing Manager and soon developed the broad-based sales and marketing team that he now heads and which is responsible for Agnitum’s global sales and marketing. Before joining Agnitum he has more than four years experience as Internet marketing consultant. Mikhail Penkovsky graduated from the same Baltic State Technical University of St. Petersburg with a master’s degree in International Industrial Management.
		Andy Yamov, Director of Development and Engineering Andy Yamov joined Agnitum in 1999 as the lead graphic-interface developer for Outpost Firewall from a position developing image analysis applications at VideoTest in St. Petersburg. He became head of development and engineering in 2001, and is now responsible for ensuring that the software development team delivers on the company’s strategic product roadmap. Andy Yamov graduated from Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University with a master’s degree in Digital Measurement Technologies.
